Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich culinary traditions of the Czech Republic and Slovakia with our festive Christmas cooking series! This year, we’re bringing you 8 delicious classes featuring both classic and modern takes on holiday favorites.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Sweet Treats: Learn to bake traditional Christmas cookies like Linz tarts, vanilla walnut crescents, Ischler mini cakes, and gingerbread cookies, perfect for sharing with loved ones or adorning your holiday table.
  • Savory Delights: Master the art of preparing authentic Czech dishes like fish soup, almond-crusted chicken schnitzel, and the historic “Kuba” mushroom dish.
  • New Year’s Tradition: Ring in the New Year with a prosperous lentil meal, customizable with vegetarian or meat-lover options.
  • Festive Bread: Bake a beautiful Vánočka, a sweet, braided bread perfect for Christmas morning.

Please note that you can attend any class in this series without having attended its predecessor.

All classes are virtual and take place over Zoom! You will be supplied a link to the class after purchase.

3. Czech Christmas Meal: Fish Soup and Almond Chicken Schnitzel with Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Join us for a culinary adventure this holiday season as we explore the flavors of a traditional Czech Christmas meal! While carp remains a classic choice for many, many Czechs now enjoy alternatives like schnitzel for their festive feast. In this class, I will guide you through preparing a mouthwatering almond-crusted chicken schnitzel paired with perfectly creamy mashed potatoes. To start, we’ll prepare an authentic Czech fish soup, a flavorful and comforting appetizer that will warm you up on a cold winter’s night. Prepare to impress your family and friends with a delicious and unique Christmas meal that captures the essence of Czech culinary traditions.
