As we at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library begin to plant our future for the next 50 years and beyond, the Board of Trustees and NCSML team are so excited to welcome you to our 5th Annual Preciosa Gala. Just as the glow of our Preciosa chandelier in Rozek Grand Hall shines each day, we will all shine at this year’s gala. As we plant the seeds of the future, the sun’s rays will allow us to grow and expand for our community, state, country, and the world. Together we can plant those seeds of change and expansion on this fertile Iowa ground. We can plant seeds of cultural understanding, historical preservation, promotion of democracy and freedom, and creation of new knowledge about the rich Czech and Slovak cultures. We can be a rich garden for all people – of all backgrounds – to connect with their own cultural heritage. Every seed we plant, whether in the earth or in someone’s heart, carries the potential to grow into something magnificent. Together we will plant our future with intention, support, commitment, and love
