Helene Baine Cincebeaux will present "My Journey Collecting Kroje in the Old Country" highlighting the past 50 years of her collecting journey. Held in the Hemphill Theater from 10 a.m. - noon CST, a book signing will follow. NCSML has all three of Helene’s books available for signing: “Crowning Glory,” “A Treasury of Slovak Folk Dress,” and “Slovakia! Helene presents her program “Creating Beauty Through Nature” in person at the Hemphill Theater and online via Zoom at 2 p.m. CST to discuss how village people used things at hand to create beauty in their clothing, homes, and churches. She will share stunning pictures of “nature inspired” villagers who used beads and fish scales to decorate folk dress in Bohemia, peacock feathers and thistle fiber lace in Moravia, and sheepskin and feathers in Slovakia to name just a few.…

NCSML welcomes world-renowned singer, composer, and entertainer Jozef Ivaška on Friday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. CST to celebrate our “Crowning Glory” exhibit on it's closing weekend.
