The Art of Ancient European Egg Decoration

Join the Czech Heritage Federation of Iowa at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library for a FREE lecture and demonstration on the ancient egg decorating method of Kraslice, a Moravian etching technique. Czechoslovakian-born, internationally acclaimed author and folk artist Lenka Glassner will talk about the colorful history and traditions of this art and demonstrate the techniques. In addition, Lenka will introduce her new book “Czeching In”, which includes a chapter dedicated to egg decorating, and provide entertainment as she shares traditions passed through generations.
