Anderson Gallery

An illustrated mosaic of the stories of prominent Czech women, this exhibit honors the rulers, politicians, artists, scientists, and athletes who left an important mark on history and the present day in the Czech lands and internationally. The project is inspired by the 100th anniversary of the ratification of women’s suffrage in Czechoslovakia in 1920, and the 200th birthday of Božena Němcová, writer of the final phase of the Czech National Revival movement.

Partners: The Czech Centres, the Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia, and Radio Prague International.

  • I am researching Jiri Valenta a Czech born diplomat who I met recently in Denver. He was important in the founding of Israel and other historic events. If someone could contact me by phone that would be great. Mike Hill 720-621-0213 Thank you- sbohem
