The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library recently partnered with Andrea Siebenmann, a native Slovak speaker, to offer online Slovak language and culture lessons.
Class begins on Monday, June 15. Each class will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Central Time every Monday from June 15 through August 3. During the 12 hours of instruction over eight weeks, participants will learn to read and speak in Slovak.
The cost is $170 for NCSML members, $195 for nonmembers. This fee includes all course materials. The class size is limited to 12 students, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early to secure a spot. Anyone interested in becoming a NCSML member may do so by visiting www.ncsml.org/support/membership.
Register online at https://bit.ly/2yfZRDK. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to access the class. Participants will need high-speed internet, and a computer or tablet to access course content. To interact with the instructor during the class, participants will also need a webcam and microphone.
