Learn how to decorate beautiful Easter eggs using the wax resist method!
Marj, a Master Czech Folk Artist, will show students how to decorate eggs using the batik/wax resist method. The traditional wax resist process involves several stages of tracing designs with wax and dipping the egg in different colored dyes. Each student will leave the class with one unique, completed egg.
Class size limited. Ages 8+.
Note: Ages 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult.

In the past we have simply offered class tickets. Now you have the option of purchasing an egg decorating kit at a reduced price from the Museum Store with your ticket! This kit will not be used during the class, but gives you the tools to try your new skills at home!
Cost (class materials are included in the ticket price):
$35 per person, Egg Decorating Class only
$50 per person, Egg Decorating Class + Traditional Starter Kit to take home
$60 per person, Egg Decorating Class + Traditional Deluxe Kit to take home
Classes will also be held on Friday, April 7 at 6:00pm (SOLD OUT), and Saturday, April 8 at 9:00am (SOLD OUT).

Traditional Starter Kit includes a medium traditional kistka (wax drawing tool), 6 dyes (yellow, orange, scarlet, light blue, light green, black), beeswax, 21 egg designs, and instructions. This kit is normally $18.95 in the Museum Store. By purchasing the kit in advance with your egg decorating class ticket, you will save $3.95!
Traditional Deluxe Kit includes three kistkas, or wax drawing tools (fine, medium, and heavy), 12 dyes (yellow, orange, scarlet, light blue, light green, black, dark green, pink, dark red, brick, turquoise, royal blue), a 6 page color instructional folder, and 12 color egg designs. This kit is normally $32.95 in the Museum Store. By purchasing the kit in advance with your egg decorating class ticket, you will save $7.95!
