"The Amazing Castle" Exhibit Now Open!

Travel back in time for some royally good fun.

The Amazing Castle traveling exhibit is making a stop at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, open through September 7.

Need something for the kids to do after the last day of school? In The Amazing Castle, an exhibit designed especially for children, visitors enter a fanciful castle village where medieval storybook characters come to life.

Children and their families can take on new roles as they explore ideas related to community life in this fully interactive and immersive exhibit. Kids can dress up as lords and ladies, villagers, or even the jester. They can pick vegetables in the garden and mix up a stew in the great hall, perform a puppet show for the king and queen, become a carpenter and build a chair, patch a hole in a cauldron as a blacksmith. And sound the trumpets to wake Herald, the sleeping dragon. A magical adventure awaits!

The Amazing Castle is a traveling exhibit from the Minnesota Children’s Museum.

More than 2,000 castles, chateaux, and castle ruins are located in Czech Republic, more than any other European country. The red roof and spires on the NCSML and its clock tower are nods to the iconic architectural landscape of Czech Republic and Slovakia
