BrewNost, National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library’s premier international beer, food and music festival, is September 19. Kick off starts at 5 p.m. with the unveiling of a new sundial on the Buresh Immigration Clock Tower. VIP entrance starts at 5:30 p.m. and general admission opens at 6:30 p.m.
BrewNost is NCSML’s signature fundraising event that brings the community together to support the educational and cultural mission of the NCSML, such as offering free school tours throughout the academic year to local students as well as funding world-class exhibits.
For more than 20 years NCSML has lined up some of the area’s finest restaurants, local breweries and distilleries, along with international beers, wine, and spirits for this fall favorite festival. VIP and general admission ticket levels for 2025 offer unlimited food and beverage, plus access to live and silent auctions. NCSML is also proud to offer a designated driver ticket with all the same perks, just alcohol-free.
The evening includes live music from Czech Plus Band and Ben Erdmann, live and silent auction prizes, and the drawing of the BrewNost raffle prize — a six-night trip for two to Prague. (Need not be present to win.)
New this year: NCSML and Big Grove, Cedar Rapids, have joined forces to create a special beer for BrewNost 2025. Featuring hops from the Czech Republic, BrewNost Brew is a Czech pilsner crafted by head brewer Chris Flenker.
