Family Gallery Talk: Contraband & the Secret Police
August 8, 2015 @ 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Why were The Beatles so important in Communist Czechoslovakia? What’s a Tatra? Why does the NCSML have a pair of Levis jeans on display? Join us in our permanent exhibit, Faces of Freedom: The Czech and Slovak Journey, as we briefly explore contraband, the secret police, and the Velvet Revolution in former Czechoslovakia.
This is a short, family-friendly walking tour led by one of the NCSML’s fabulous interns. This program is free after purchasing regular admission tickets to the galleries. Meet at the entrance to Faces of Freedom.
