Free First Saturdays for Students

Beginning in 2016, students of all ages (preschool through college) are invited to visit the NCSML’s exhibits for free on the first Saturday of each month during regular museum hours. College students must bring a current school ID card. Regular admission rates still apply to non-students. Members of the NCSML are always free.
Activities for November 5:
Mini Mozarts are invited to the museum to construct their own simple stick instruments in celebration of the Amadeus-themed exhibit in Smith Gallery. There will also be a Create-A-Caption Contest! We challenge older student visitors to create colorful captions for some of our artifacts. (Instructions and examples will be provided.) The winner of the most creative and hilarious caption will receive a small prize from the Museum Store.
