Heritage Garden Outdoor Learning Lab: Organic Gardening 101

Join Soilmates founder, Scott Koepke, for a fun, interactive introduction to vegetable gardening for people of all ages! From seed to harvest, Scott can provide a comprehensive overview of what’s required to grow organic food at home and in community gardens: healthy soil, full sun, watering, mapping, companion plants, weeding, mulching, tools, season extensions and organic pest control with biodiversity. A special focus will be given to what native Czech and Slovak gardens emphasize.
This is an informal drop-in program. No RSVP required. Stop by any time between 2:00 and 3:00pm on Saturday, May 21 during Houby Days in Czech Village to see the progress on our new Czech and Slovak Heritage Garden, and to learn from Scott!
