History + Happy Hour: From Prague to Berlin: How the Czechs Helped Bring Down the Berlin Wall from the Inside

Bring your friends and coworkers to the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library for happy hour! You’ll find drinks, hearty snacks, go on self-guided adventures through the museum’s galleries, and enjoy a fascinating talk from Cornell College Professor and native Iowan Dr. Tyler Carrington!
About the Speaker:
Tyler Carrington is a cultural historian of modern Germany and teaches a wide variety of courses in the German Studies curriculum, ranging from intro and advanced German language, culture, and literature courses to seminars in German history, gender and sexuality (especially masculinity), and urban studies.
A native of Iowa City, he has degrees in German (BA, MA) and history (MA, PhD) and comes to Cornell from Kalamazoo College, where he taught in both the history and German departments.
