Presented are 75 works including rare original lithographs and proofs, paintings, drawings, posters, books, and portfolios from the Dhawan Collection, one of the finest private collections of Mucha’s works in the U.S. Mucha is most often remembered for the prominent role he played in shaping the aesthetics of French Art Nouveau at the turn of the 20th century.

Support is provided by: Betterlife, CRST, Cedar Rapids Hotel Motel Tax, Iowa Tourism Office and Iowa Arts Council, both part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    We went to the Mucha Museum in Prague last August. We will checking out this exhibit as we are big fans.

    I went to the exhibit today with the museum curator as a guide. She was fantastic! I like Mucha anyway, but learning about the historical context of his work and and information about Mucha as a person exponentially increased my enjoyment of the exhibit. I came home nearly dancing with delight. Thank you so much!! (Thank you so mucha, haha.)
