The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library is diligently monitoring the situation and daily status of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States and the world.
While we have not cancelled any programs to date, we want the public to know that the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, staff and board of trustees are of the utmost importance to us. We are closely monitoring the latest updates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and state and local health departments. We urge everyone to adhere to good health practices – wash your hands thoroughly, cover your cough with your closed elbow, and avoid contact with people who are ill. We encourage everyone to see their primary care provider as soon as you suspect anything like a cold, cough, fever, or flu-like symptoms.
Here’s what we’re doing on a daily basis inside the museum:
• Placing hand sanitizers at the first floor Visitor Services Desk
• Sanitizing all hand railings
• Sanitizing all door handles in every office, exhibition and public space
• Sanitizing all elevator buttons and controls
The NCSML staff has taken specialized training in COVID-19 and continuity of operation planning. We are committed to being adequately prepared for any further health situation that may occur.
