CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Denny Naughton and Friends Show, a longstanding and award-winning ventriloquist act, will make its Cedar Rapids public debut at CSPS/Legion Arts on Nov. 14 at 7:00 p.m. Proceeds from the event will help fund educational programs at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library (NCSML).
Denny (Marion attorney Dennis Naughton), his main character Benny and other characters will be joined on stage by special guest Ralph Kluseman, a guitarist and singer from Dubuque singing hits from the 60s and 70s.
Naughton first took up ventriloquism at age 11 and developed skills that enabled him to work his way through college and law school by performing on the circuit of state and county fairs. His act won the Iowa State Fair Talent Search in 1967, and Denny and Friends have appeared with Grand Ole Opry stars and nationally known acts from coast to coast, throughout the Midwest and overseas.
Tickets are available on the NCSML web site at https://ncsml.org/event/csps-presents-denny-naughton-friends-show/, by calling 319-362-8500 or at the door at the CSPS Hall, 1103 Third St SE in Cedar Rapids. A cash bar will be available during the show.[su_spacer size=”10″]
