Michal Horák Concert

Hi, I’m Michal and I write songs. I’ve been performing alone or with a band for over 13 years, and people at home really enjoy my songs, so we thought we’d go overseas to visit you with my violinist Adam! We will sing not only my songs, but also czech songs that make us happy, so hopefully we will see you there!

Michal Horák is a singer-songwriter who belongs to the new wave of Czech singer-songwriters, together with Pokáč, Pavel Čadek, Voxel and others. In 2021, he received the Zlatý Slavík award in the Discovery of the Year category. His songs have over 42 million views on YouTube and 120 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify. His work is based on his love of language and is thus based on the work of the original Czech singers – Karel Kryl, Jaromír Nohavica, Karel Plíhal. The music is based on pure musicianship, where the performer himself brilliantly controls several instruments – guitar, piano, accordion and heligonka. As a trained pedagogue, he considers it important to spread love for the mother tongue in its full beauty, which he proves not only with his playful lyrics, but also with his teaching activities at the Palacký University in Olomouc.
