Arts & Facts Family Gallery Talk: Folk Dress

FACES OF FREEDOM

Learn the basics of historic Czech and Slovak folk dress during this kid-friendly gallery talk! Did you know that each village has its own special clothing designs and patterns? Why would fish scales be used to decorate an apron? In present day, when do Czechs and Slovaks choose to wear their national costumes? Find out the answers to these questions (and more), touch real artifacts, and even see a few pieces from the museum’s education collection!

This program is free after purchasing regular admission tickets to the galleries. Find us in Faces of Freedom: The Czech and Slovak Journey!

The event will be repeated on Sunday, June 14 at 2:00pm.
