FOURTH CLASS: “Lokše” – Potato Flatbread
October 17, 2024, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. CST
In our fourth and final class of the Fall Cooking Series, we’re celebrating the versatility of lokše, the beloved potato flatbread of Czech and Slovak cuisine. These thin, pan-fried delights are a blank canvas for both sweet and savory flavors. We’ll be showcasing this versatility by creating two distinct versions: one filled with the warm sweetness of traditional fruit preserves, and the other bursting with savory goodness, featuring a Bryndza cheese substitute, crispy bacon, and caramelized onions. Get ready to discover the endless possibilities of lokše!
NOTE: Suitable for vegetarians by skipping the optional bacon on the savory lokše.
