Exploring Heritage Gardens: Let’s Eat!

300pxScottNewPiGive thanks for food! Join Soilmates founder, Scott Koepke, for ‘Let’s Eat!,’ a fun, interactive introduction to vegetable gardening for children of all ages. From seed to harvest, this workshop provides a comprehensive overview of what’s required to grow food at home and in community gardens: healthy soil, full sun, watering, mapping, companion plants, weeding, mulching, tools, season extensions and organic pest control with biodiversity. Let’s grow it here and learn lifelong lessons! A special focus will be given to what native Czech and Slovak gardens emphasize.

This program is in partnership with New Pioneer Co-ops’ Soilmates program.
