Free First Saturday for Students: Madame Plam and the Women’s Suffrage

Cost: Free

Women had the right to vote in Czechoslovakia since it was formed in 1918. This was all because of the Women’s Suffragette Movement and the women who fought for equal rights. Františka Plamínková – or Madame Plam – was a teacher, journalist, and suffragette in Czechoslovakia, but she also traveled to help women in other countries. For Women’s History Free First Saturday for Students we will learn more about Madame Plam and have a scavenger hunt through the exhibits.
