Amazing Athletes highlights the careers and accomplishments of certain Czech and Slovak athletes. Spotlighted are gymnast Věra Čáslavská, who gained international recognition and support when she refused to look at the Soviet flag as it was raised at her Olympic medal ceremony in 1968; tennis legend Martina Navratilova; Olympic gold medal runner Emil Zátopek; Alpine skier Petra Vlhova; hockey star Dominik Hašek, and many others.
