Czech Heroines: Prominent Czech Women Past and Present

Czech Heroines is an illustrated mosaic of the stories of prominent Czech women – rulers, politicians, artists, scientists, and athletes – who left an important mark on history and the present day in the Czech lands and internationally. Included are former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and tennis champion Martina Navratilova. This exhibit was created by The Czech Centres and the Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia.

The NCSML traveling exhibition program is generously supported by American Czech Association, Los Angeles and American Sokol Los Angeles.

I was wondering if our library could rent the Czech Heroines: Prominent Czech Women Past and Present travelling exhibit next March 2023 for a few weeks for Women’s History month?
Could you tell me more about the costs associated with the exhibit?

    Thank you for your time,

I’d like to take my grandchildren to we this exhibit. Can you tell me if it is somewhere in Iowa this summer?

    • Hi Kristi,
This exhibit won’t be on display this summer, but the Hiawatha Public Library is going to display Czech Heroines in March 2023.
