(“Sold Out”) History on Tap: Iowa City Beer Riots

August 26, 2015 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

NCSML - Year of Beer Logo

We have reached our maximum number of guests for this event, meaning we have “sold out.” RSVPs are now closed. We hope to see you at Millstream Brewing Company on October 21 at 5:30pm to hear about Prohibition in Iowa! Details are forthcoming here at NCSML.org.

Grab a pint of delicious craft beer by Big Grove Brewery, then gather ’round the discussion table! Local historian Marlin Ingalls, from the Office of the State Archaeologist at the University of Iowa, will tell you all you need to know about the Iowa City Beer Riots of 1884, featuring mobs, tarring, illegal operations and more.

Find out by joining us for our second History on Tap at Big Grove Brewery in Solon, Iowa! The event is free, but beer must be purchased. Seating is limited.

The Year of Beer is proudly sponsored by Western Fraternal Life.
