History on Tap: Uncovering the History of Women’s Suffrage in Iowa

Cost: Free, registration preferred
Location: NCSML

Kären Mason, Iowa Women’s Archives Curator, is joining us again for our first History on Tap of the year!  2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment being submitted to the states by Congress for ratification. In celebration of this anniversary, Kären will talk about the “Iowa’s Suffrage Scrapbook”, draw on collections in IWA that shed light on suffrage, and suggest what we still need to learn about the Iowa women’s suffrage movement. Our cash bar will be open serving specialty suffrage themed cocktails.

Sponsored by: CRST International with contributing sponsorship from Randy’s Flooring
