Calling all gingerbread lovers! In this lesson, we are going to prepare traditional Czech gingerbread bars. This dessert has a well-balanced Czech gingerbread flavor that is perfectly sweet and uses delicious and healthy rye flour. The texture of this dessert is very fluffy, and the prune marmalade is not just spread in the middle of the dessert but also added into the batter. For a final touch, the chocolate coating ties everything together nicely. This dessert has some flavor similarities to decorated Christmas gingerbread cookies but offers a completely different experience. In the Czech Republic, it is known for being a casual, easy-to-prepare dessert that is served all year long.
Suitable for vegetarians.
