“Halušky” Slovak Potato Pasta

Slovak cuisine is famous for many great dishes, but if only one should be selected, it would be definitely Halušky. This Slovak potato-based pasta will surprise you with its original flavor. We are going to substitute traditionally used “Brinza” cheese with more commonly available ingredients in the USA.

Note: Suitable for vegetarians if bacon is avoided

About the Series

Join us from the comfort of  your home on Zoom and learn from Czech-born Chef Tom Slepicka in these hands-on interactive classes.

Our latest live online Zoom cooking series consists of 5 new classes. In the first class, we are going to prepare a large, decorated gingerbread heart, which will be a perfect Valentine’s gift for your loved ones! The following class will include the preparation of traditional Slovak halušky with bacon, Czech meatloaf called “Sekana”, traditional Czech larger pretzels, and as a sweet end, you will learn to prepare “Buchticky s kremem” – a Czech sweet main course or dessert, that is unlike anything you’ve ever tried.

Please note that you can attend any class in this series without having attended its predecessor.

You can join us for all 5 classes (the entire series) and get 1 class totally free, or you can purchase classes individually.

Sign up for all 5 classes: $100 for NCSML members, $120 for non-members. Receive one class free.
Purchase classes individually: $25 for NCSML members, $30 for non-members.
